silk fans workshop with iga
Try something fun designed to spark your creativity, expand your flow, and let your movement shine. Iga will provide the silks fans, guide you through techniques, and teach some visually stunning moves. Together, we’ll weave a short routine combining everything you’ve learned while leaving room for improvisation and personal expression.
All moves are accessible and fun, whether you’re new to flow arts or looking to refine your practice. As a full-time performer and experienced workshop leader, Iga loves sharing the joy and empowerment that flow arts bring. Her goal is for you to feel beautiful, powerful, and magical while moving with confidence and ease. Let’s create, flow, and have some fun!
DRAWING CREATIVE FLOW WITH MEGAN
By drawing, we can open up our creativity and flow state. This workshop combines hula hoop and art, beginning with a drawing based session where we will use a number of drawing exercises to open up our creativity, loosen up our minds and have fun creating through drawing and moving. Following these drawing exercises, we use this as a stimulus to create a flow movement piece with our chosen prop (hoops, fans, poi etc).
Megan specialises in scenic art and holds a BA in Visual Art. Find her on IG: @scenicpainter_megan & @megan_yeomans_studio

INTRO TO hula hoop - all beginners welcome
This session is offered free to the local community to help spread the love of hula hooping and get people started. If you are bringing along family members to see the show, this is this perfect time for them to try this skill!
optional workshops - sunday
intro to contortion with freya
Want to add new bendy elements to your hoop routines, learn new flexibility exercises to add to your training and warm ups, build strength and stability to decrease injury risk, or just start your Sunday feeling a bit more mobile? In this workshop we’ll work through a series of exercises designed to safely improve your active flexibility range (rather than relying on passive!) and your control within this, as well as introducing you to some accessible poses and shapes and offering progressive steps towards bigger skills such as drop backs and cheststands. This workshop is open to all, regardless of your current levels of flexibility and strength: every exercise has a range of levels available and both modifications and challenges can be provided along the way.
ADVANCED PICK-UP TRICKS WITH KAT
Bored of picking up your hoop in the same old way? Kat will bring you lots of advanced and fancy ways of picking up your hoop that turn the pick-up from the floor into a main event. Building on her own research and lots of favourite moves learned along her hoop travels, Kat will break down all of these moves so they are easy to learn. Get ready to feel so good about picking up your hoop again, that you’ll start dropping it on purpose. @kat.borrowdale
